Part-time Development Database - Managing Consultant

The Development database managing consultant role is a temporary part-time non-exempt position limited to 19 hours per week maximum, for 9 months, subject to renewal.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Development the database managing consultant will:

DATABASE, EVENTS AND ANNUAL FUND MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain and manage the Raiser’s Edge NXT database.
  • Develop procedures to improve data accuracy and team productivity.
  • Design and utilize Queries and Reports.
  • Conceptualize and implement design of essential modules.
  • Update development operations manual.
  • Generate mailing lists and manage them in collaboration with development staff.
  • Provide training for team members, troubleshoot challenges, working with Blackbaud as needed.
  • Manage development/finance reconciliation.

EVENTS

  • Work with development colleagues on production and maintenance of event lists.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable
  • 4 years of professional experience managing Raiser’s Edge.
  • Expertise with creating functional development manuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Superior attention to detail, administrative skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Must be a team player who will work collaboratively and productively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational abilities with rigorous attention to detail in a multi-task and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who can prioritize multiple assignments, problem solve, and meet deadlines.

Fee range: This is an hourly position at $45 to $50/hour commensurate with experience. This position is based in New York City and can be in person or done remotely.
