BAGUIO CITY -- The Free Legal Assistance Group has asked the Supreme Court (SC) to reconsider its March 14, 2012 decision on a human rights suit filed by alleged torture victims three decades ago against martial law-time military officials led by the late Major General Fabian Ver, including then Lieutenant Colonel now Senator Panfilo Lacson.
In an omnibus motion for reconsideration filed through civil rights lawyer Jose Manuel Diokno, petitioners asked the SC to take up the case en banc and set oral arguments on the civil case for damages entitled Rogelio Aberca et al. vs Fabian Ver, for abuses they committed against them during the regime of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos.
