In-Country Consultant, Afghanistan Program

Azaryuon Matin, an Afghan citizen, is a full-time in-country consultant for ICTJ’s Afghanistan Program. He has been working in the human rights field in Afghanistan since 1998. Prior to joining ICTJ, he served as Coordinator of the Civil Society and Human Rights Network (CSHRN), as director of the Rehabilitation Organization for Education and Self-Sufficiency (ROES), and as a human rights trainer with the Cooperation Center for Afghanistan (CCA) in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has also served as a human rights consultant for the Media Center for Afghanistan (Mediothek) and is co-author of the CSHRN publication, “Debate Manual on Women’s Rights in Afghanistan.”
