The Arabic word “Zyara” means “visit” in English. The Zyara documentary series takes an innovative, deeply personal approach to storytelling with a view to nurturing collective social and emotional healing.
For the first time in nine years, the Zyara team has traveled outside of Lebanon, in search of stories from Yemen. Zyara to Yemen was created in partnership with ICTJ, which works across society and borders to challenge the causes and address the consequences of massive human rights violations.
We work side by side with victims to obtain acknowledgment and redress for massive human rights violations, hold those responsible to account, reform and build democratic institutions, and prevent the recurrence of violence or repression.
